It’s great to meet you, and I hope we can meet in person someday. I’d love to share a little about myself and how this all started! It began with a question: “What really I love doing forever?” At first, there was no clear answer—it was still waiting to be discovered. With our kids away at university, I found myself missing them a lot, and I started looking at our family photos more often. That’s when I realized how good I was at taking bad photos! So, in 2016, I decided to learn photography, just to take better family pictures. But to my surprise, it became an exciting new adventure and opened up a whole new direction for me. Because I’m naturally social, I was drawn to portrait photography. I love capturing the real, beautiful expressions of people and freezing those moments forever—it’s truly fascinating. Through many portrait sessions, I discovered that these shoots could be transformational, not only for the people I photograph but for me as well. Portraits reveal parts of someone’s personality that we might not notice in day-to-day life, and they can boost confidence and openness to the world. This realization inspired me to consider photography as my forever career and answered the question I had started with. In June 2023, after 30+ years in the corporate world, I officially launched my portrait photography business. Through this transition, I believe I’m on a journey, hoping to make a positive impact on every person I meet. And maybe, one day, this positivity can help build better communities—one step at a time.
